News Letter of USCF for July 2007

On July 4, Larry Lee, president of USCF was invited to attend a banquet at Shenyang Lido Hotel hosted by American Consulate in Shenyang to celebrate US National Day Holiday. Consul General of American Consulate in Shenyang met with Larry Lee at this gathering.

The scheme for “Redwood Concert, The Journey of Harmony and Friendship” ---featuring Julia Zhu, soprano and a well-known tenor has been presented. This global tour will cover more than 70 cities in over 20 countries including China and America.

On July 13, Larry Lee, president of USCF flew to Shanghai and met Song Ding Yuan, chief representative of USCF Shanghai Office. Mr. Song reported to Larry Lee on the recent work of USCF Shanghai Office. After that, Larry Lee and Song Ding Yuan met with Xue Peijian, president of Shanghai Culture and Broadcasting Group. They had a pleasant discussion on related cooperation. 

at the evening of Larry Lee arrived in Shanghai, Michael Bianco, senior financial advisor of USCF escorted Larry Lee to enjoy the drama entitled The Journey Going Through Time And Space jointly produced by China Performance Group and Shanghai Culture and Broadcasting Group.

Also, Larry Lee met with business partners of USCF in Shanghai and eastern part of China during his visit in Shanghai.

In July 16, Beijing, Larry Lee, president of USCF met with Mr. Xu Jian Xun, a well-known lawyer from Houston. They discussed the cooperation in various areas. 

In July 17, Larry Lee, president of USCF invited Dr. Ni Weizhu, senior advisor of Phillips in charge of China’s operation, to have a dinner together. Dr. Ni was invited to join USCF and act as senior advisor in international exchange programs. 

On the evening of July 18-19, CCTV replayed Julia’s solo concert organized by USCF in Beijing for three times. The replaying of this concert received great responses from audience from all walks of society in China. 

On July 23, Larry Lee, president of USCF flew to the US. On the following day, Larry Lee was invited to attend a dinner party held in San Francisco Bay District and met with tens of business leaders in American financial sector. 

Larry Lee, the President of USCF met with both the new Chinese Consul General and Vice Consul General in Houston on the 26th of August. Mr. Lee also met the old friend - former Vice Consul General in Houston Mr. Fang Li. President Lee expressed a great appreciation from all members of USCF to the Honorable Vice Consul General Fang for his solid and consistent support to both USCF's Houston Office and the Redwood Concert, which was held by USCF in Houston this past April. Mr. Fang will be the new Chinese Consul General to South Africa, and he invited USCF to hold new event there in the near future.

The Redwood Concert Global Tour and the Sino-US Entertainment group have caused great responses from investors from both the USA and PRC. USCF as its initiator received many serious inquiries on these projects. These responses show a trend of Sino-US cultural exchanges and the markets' needs. 
So far, more than four investment groups are working on this project with USCF's related professionals for its initial private placement.

In July, many new members joined USCF and their joining injected fresh energy and funding into USCF.

The 15th Anniversary of US-China Foundation will be in this coming October. The Head Offices of USCF in both China and the US will jointly hold a celebrating assembly in the US east coast, (NYC, Washington DC, and Atlanta are all show their great interests in this exciting celebration event) which was the area of the USCF's establishment fifteen year ago.

In July, Michael Bianco, senior financial advisor of USCF, well-known investment banker was actively working on the financing for USCF in the US. He would take an important job in a subsidiary of USCF newly set up. 

The preparation for setting up USCF’s branch offices in San Francisco and Atlanta was actively underway. The two offices would be scheduled to officially open in autumn this year. 

Larry Lee, president of USCF, flew to Atlanta in July 29 and began his a weeklong business trip there.
